Privacy Policy

Crashboard collects no data about you. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising identifier and no tracking — in the app or on this website.

The short version

Crashboard has nothing to sign in to, asks for nothing, and sends nothing about you anywhere. Its App Store privacy label reads Data Not Collected, and the privacy manifest compiled into the app declares no tracking, no collected data types and no use of required-reason APIs. This page says the same thing in longer form. If the two ever disagree, treat it as a mistake on this page and tell me.

What the app collects

Nothing. Specifically:

• No account and no sign-in. There is no registration, no login, no email address and no profile.
• No identifier of any kind. No advertising identifier, no device fingerprint, no installation ID, no analytics ID.
• No analytics and no crash reporting service. No first-party telemetry and no third-party analytics.
• No third-party SDKs. The app has no external package dependencies at all. It uses only Apple's own frameworks and the system copies of SQLite and zlib.
• No tracking. Nothing about you is combined with data from other apps or websites, and nothing is shared with data brokers.
• No location, contacts, photos, health or calendar access. The app requests no such permissions, because it has no use for them.

Everything Crashboard shows is computed on your device from a database stored on your device.

The one network request

Crashboard ships with a complete snapshot built into the app, so it opens to a full dashboard on first launch with no network connection at all.

Its only network capability is a single unauthenticated HTTPS GET of a static, public file — the same published snapshot every copy of the app reads, containing nothing but public economic data. That request carries no account, no identifier, no device information, and nothing derived from anything you have done in the app. There is no request body, no telemetry payload and nothing to correlate one fetch with another.

Being straightforward about the one unavoidable exception: like any request to any server on the internet, the connection itself necessarily reveals your device's IP address to the content delivery network that serves the file. That is a property of how the internet works, not something the app chooses to send. I operate no server of my own, receive no log of those connections, and do not inspect, store, profile or analyse them.

Purchases

The optional subscription is sold and processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit and your Apple Account.

• I never see, receive or store your payment details, card number, billing address, Apple Account email or name.
• I operate no server, no customer database and no receipt-validation backend. Your subscription status is checked on your device, with Apple, and stays there.
• Apple provides me only with anonymous, aggregated sales and download reporting. It identifies no individual customer.

This website

This site is three static pages of HTML and CSS, served by Cloudflare Pages.

• No analytics. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Cloudflare Web Analytics, no pixels or beacons of any kind.
• No cookies. The site sets none, which is why there is no cookie banner to dismiss.
• No third-party requests. No embedded fonts, scripts, tag managers or social widgets. Every asset the page loads comes from this domain.
• No advertising and no data sharing. Nothing about visitors is collected, sold or shared, because nothing about visitors is collected.

As with the snapshot file, Cloudflare necessarily handles the connection that delivers these pages to you. I do not enable, receive or review visitor-level logs or analytics for this site.

If you email me

Writing to the support address means I have your email address and whatever you chose to put in the message, for as long as that message sits in my inbox. That is unavoidable in any correspondence and worth stating plainly rather than pretending otherwise. I use it to answer you and for nothing else — no mailing list, no marketing, no sharing with anyone. Ask me to delete the thread and I will.

Your rights, honestly

Privacy policies usually explain here how to request access to your data, export it, correct it or have it deleted. For Crashboard there is no such procedure, for a simple reason: there is no data about you to access, export, correct or delete. None is ever collected, so none is ever stored, and there is no database in which you appear.

Deleting the app removes the snapshot database it stored on your device. Nothing about you remains anywhere else, because nothing about you was sent anywhere else.

Children

Crashboard is rated 4+ and contains nothing age-restricted, but it is not directed at children. It knowingly collects no personal information from anyone, of any age, including children under 13 — because it collects no personal information at all.

Changes to this policy

If the app's behaviour ever changes in a way that affects privacy, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the date at the top will change with it. A version of Crashboard that collected data would need a new App Store privacy label and a new privacy manifest, both of which are public.
